Jvari: begin with the viewpoint

One option is to start at Jvari Monastery above Mtskheta. The view takes in the town and the meeting of the Mtkvari and Aragvi rivers. The monastery requires its own approach: reaching central Mtskheta does not automatically bring you to Jvari.

The Tbilisi–Kazbegi route is considered one of the most scenic drives in Georgia.
